What is the Total Wireless device protection program?
Total Wireless Protect is a service contract that offers coverage for affordable replacement or repair for your eligible device due to accidents such as drops and mechanical & electrical failure after the manufacturer's warranty expires. There is a nominal service fee, but you only pay it if your claim is approved.
What is Total Wireless Protect+?
Total Wireless Protect+ includes all the benefits from Total Wireless Protect, but also offers loss and theft coverage, and loss and theft coverage, $0 front screen and back glass repairs for select phones, plus a choice of the following premium benefits:

Is there a number I can call to file a claim?
Yes, you can call Assurant at 1-833-456-0146 to file a claim. You can file one online 24/7 at totalwireless.assurant.com.
How do I access my premium benefits included with Total Wireless Protect+?
Once you sign up for Total Wireless Protect+, you’ll need to register at totalwireless.assurant.com to manage your premium benefit selection.
Is Total Wireless Protect+ available to all customers?
Total Wireless Protect+ is available to most new and current customers who are purchasing or financing a qualifying device. For those who already have a device, you’ll need to check eligibility, and you may need to bring it to a Total Wireless store so we can inspect it and determine if you can enroll.
Currently, Total Wireless Protect+ is not available to customers who live in New York state.
I’m bringing my own device. Can I enroll in Total Wireless Protect?
Some bring your own (BYO) devices are eligible for mobile protection. If your device meets the eligibility criteria and passes the required inspection, then yes, you can enroll in the program.
When can I add protection to my device?
You can enroll in our device protection plans while purchasing, activating or financing a qualified Total Wireless device at stores or online. Coverage begins either on the date you enroll your device or the date you activate your device, whichever is later.
If you choose to enroll in protection more than 30 days after activation or if you’re bringing your own device (BYOD), a visual/virtual mechanical inspection may be required. Please remember to send or receive a call, send a text, or access data on the device (not using Wi-Fi) to verify that your device is active on the Total Wireless network.
Enrollment is optional, may be canceled at any time, and isn't required to purchase, finance or activate a device or obtain wireless service from Total Wireless. Devices eligible for protection include smartphones as well as BYO and other devices, as approved by us.

Filing a claim is quick and simple. Just visit totalwireless.assurant.com 24/7. It’s easy and convenient for both filing and checking the status of your claim. You can also call Assurant® at 1-833-456-0146. We’ll provide you with the info you need to have handy, claim options and other details you need to know.
Are there any claim limits?
Yes, claim limits vary depending on the type of incident and your selected coverage plan. The maximum coverage per approved claim will be the lesser of the replacement value of the covered device or the purchase price of the claimed device, minus your deductible/service fee.

Are there any service fees or deductibles?
Yes, once your claim is approved, a service fee/deductible (based on your device tier, type of claim, and selected coverage plan) plus applicable taxes will be collected from you by credit card, debit card, or eCheck. As your device depreciates, it may be classified under another tier, and your service fee/deductible would be adjusted accordingly.

Enrollment: You can enroll in Total Wireless Protect while purchasing and activating a qualified Total Wireless device at stores or online, or you may add the protection within 30 days of your device activation. If you decide to enroll in protection after 30 days of activation, or if you're bringing your own device (BYOD), we may require the device to pass a visual or virtual mechanical inspection before enrollment.
Maximum Coverage per Claim: The lesser of the replacement value of the covered device or the original covered device purchase price, minus your service fee.
Exclusions: Losses caused by or resulting from abuse; misuse; losses covered by the manufacturer's warranty; service performed by anyone not authorized by us; intentional or cosmetic damage; pre-existing conditions; manufacturer’s recall; certain acts of God; and consequential damage. Refer to coverage documents for a full list of exclusions.
Cancellation: You can cancel this optional coverage at any time by calling us at 1-866-663-3633, in-store, or 'in the store, or by logging in to your totalwireless.com account. You’ll receive a refund and/or credit, if any, within the time frame required by law.
