Why should I upgrade to one of the newer plans?
If you’re currently on a Total by Verizon legacy plan, you can upgrade to one of our latest Total Wireless plans to get faster speeds, unlimited data, enhanced international calling and more.
If you choose the 5G+ Unlimited plan, you’ll also get our fastest 5G Ultra Wideband data, unlimited hotspot and Disney+ service included.
All of the latest plans offer a flat rate that includes all taxes & fees and is guaranteed for 5 years.
Will I lose any of my old benefits?
No. In addition to getting service upgrades, you’ll keep unlimited talk and text covered by the Verizon network and Total Spam Filter protection. And our current plans are still month-to-month, with no annual contract.
Will my monthly price go up?
Your price will only go up if you’re currently on the legacy Total by Verizon $30/mo plan. The equivalent new plan is $40/mo and gets you upgraded to unlimited data, higher speeds, and enhanced international calling and more. For all other single-line plans, you can get an upgraded plan at the same price you are paying now. If you are on a multi-line plan, your cost should be lower after you upgrade.
Is upgrading plans required, and is there a deadline?
No, upgrading your plan is not required. Though you may want to consider it because our current plans offer faster service and enhanced features at either a nominal price increase, the same price or a lower price.
Will I lose my number if I upgrade? Can I keep my phone?
You are welcome to keep your current number and phone if you upgrade your plan.
Will my service go down while the upgrade is in process?
You can activate your plan in minutes. Once you do so, simply restart your phone to begin service with your new plan.
Do I have to move to the same level of plan?
No, you can pick any of the plans currently available with Total Wireless. They all have enhanced features compared to your current plan.
Will my old prepaid card plans work for the new plans?
No, your old prepaid card plans will not work once you upgrade your plan.

Price guarantee does not apply to any promotions, add-ons, features, or discounts, such as an Auto Pay discount. 3. Unlimited international calls are available to landline and mobile numbers in select destinations only, which are subject to change at any time. 4. International roaming is available within Canada and Mexico. Plan allows calls within the roaming country and to the US/Canada/Mexico.
